Goody Bag?

Join me for an open weekend at the Giddy Yarns Studio on Saturday 2nd May and/or Sunday 3rd May. I will be open 10am - 4pm

Ticket Info

Seating space at the studio is limited so, in order to make sure we're all comfortable, I've decided to make it a free ticketed event, just so I can keep an eye on numbers. So if you would like to come and sit and craft for the day then please book a slot.

If you intend to just pop in (e.g. for 20 mins or so) to say hi, have a look around, and maybe shop, then no ticket is needed.

The event is completely free, but if you'd like to purchase a Goody Bag to help me fund the event then you can choose this from the drop-down options: Goody Bags will be picked up on the day, and will include a mystery 20g mini skein and a couple of handmade stitch markers.

Food and Drink

I will be providing tea, coffee and hot chocolate, as well as a small selection of snacks.

The studio is walking distance (7 mins, 0.3 miles) from a Clark's Bakery that does a great selection of hot and cold food for lunch, and also from a Sainsbury's (10 mins, 0.5 miles).

If you have any dietary requirements, please drop me an email (giddyyarns@gmail.com) and I will do my best to cater to them. If you require milk other than cow's milk, I'm more than happy to buy other milk but would prefer to get the correct one(s).

Studio Address

Unit 6 Barlow Park, West Pitkerro Industrial Estate, Dundee, DD5 3RS

Parking

The industrial estate is very quiet on a Sunday and there is ample free on-street parking in the roads close to the studio. If you require accessible parking directly outside the studio then please let me know and I'll make sure to save a space for you.

Please do not park directly outside the studio on the Saturday as the other businesses will be open and require their spaces. There will be plenty of nearby street parking.

Public Transport

The Studio is about a 30-minute public transport journey from the centre of Dundee. Coming from the centre of Dundee out to the studio there are two bus options.

The 28 can be picked up just outside the city centre at Albert street (a 10min walk from the train station) and will drop you at Baldovie Road Sainsbury's (a 10 min walk from the studio).

The Ember bus can also be taken from the railway station to Baldovie Road (about a 4 min walk from the studio).

Accessibility at the Studio

The Studio is all on one level. However, doors are standard width and the entry hall requires two 90-degree turns, so access may be difficult for larger wheelchairs or mobility scooters. If you’d like to see a video or measurements, then drop me a message.

Toilets

I have a toilet at the studio. It is all on one level but is narrow and has no handrails. The nearest accessible toilet is at Sainsbury’s (a 3 min drive or 10 min walk).
